House Keeping Notes

Share the show with a friend– Many people don’t realize how difficult it is to grow a podcast show. It’s nothing like growing a blog because podcast stats aren’t great which makes hard to figure out where new listeners are coming from. You can help me grow the show by sharing it with a friend or on your favorite social networks (IG stories is great for sharing snippets).

Show merchandise– I have a PYB t-shirt and enamel pins available. Show your support and support the show in the process. Check them out here – shop.keepchasingthestars.com

Leave a review– No one really knows how the algorithms work but I’m fairly certain that reviews help iTunes suggest other similar shows to listeners. If you haven’t already, open your podcast app and rate the show. It only takes a few minutes but the feedback is so helpful.

Swimming with The Jellyfish

  • Getting warned about the jellyfish
  • When I first entered the water (feeling panicked and out of my depth)
  • Pep Talk from the Captain Morgan
  • Deciding to try again and how the universe responds to that energy (Crewmember Henry pushing the jellyfish out of the way)
  • Being too focused on the jellyfish and forgetting to look down
  • Seeing the reef and realizing that the slight discomfort of a jellyfish sting was worth it

The Lesson Learned

Often times we are so focused on our fear that we will risk missing out on a bigger payoff. In this case, it was seeing a spectacular view of North America’s only living coral reef. Other times its opportunities that can help you grow or even change your life.

When you’re in a situation where you have to make a quick decision but the chorus of fear is singing. I want you to pause and ask yourself these 3 questions:

  1. What am I afraid of?
  2. What’s the Worst Case Scenario?
  3. What’s On The Other Side Of Your Fear? Or what amazing thing can happen?

Hindsight is 20/20. When I look back on things, most of the time the things I fear are slight discomforts or temporary bruises to my ego. I think that’s the case for most people.

So I ask you, What’s On The Other Side Of Your Fear?
